Hubzilla 4.2 in a nutshellWe are pretty close to branch out
Hubzilla 4.2RC. Here is a summary of changes:
1. We have merged the Events and CalDAV Calendar frontends. The Events and CalDAV apps have been deprecated in favour of the Calendar app which now comprehends both.
2. We have revived the threaded comments feature. If the feature is enabled from the conversation tools, it is possible to directly comment on comments. The timeline view will remain flattened in the Hubzilla stream. In Friendica and Mastodon this kind of comments will appear beneath the commented comment.
3. An option to store photo thumbnails on disk instead of DB has been implemented. This will reduce DB load and size.
4. It is now possibly to reset the profilephoto to the default. Also the possibility to remove coverphotos has been implemented.
5. Activitypub federation has been improved. We will now deal with profile changes on the fly with platforms that support that kind of messages. Also relaying of comments to activitypub servers has been improved. especially for Friendica and Mastodon which support comment relaying.
6. Many bugfixes and usability improvements.
