Developer communications?

Hello,

I've been looking for the daily communications of hubzilla developers - as a long-form style, this channel seems to be it.
Is there a short-form style as well, like a chat?

The discussions here are interesting, but is it where daily project decisions are being made? I seem to have trouble finding those :]

You shouldn't be able to do this, but even if you can, don't do it. Signatures and identities are stored in the same places but are completely different.

Zot6 does look like a more compartmentalized version of the protocol. It looks good.

One worry I have is the shift to push notifications. But for that to make sense I should explain my intentions more.

So, what I am after is a collaboration network. We are actually a small group of people wanting this.

We want it to be open souce, privacy-enabled, and efficient in terms of time spent versus collaboration achieved.
This, to me, means a task-focused desktop application and is the reason why I am less keen on relying on a web-based user interface.

The other thing is that are looking towards ubiquitous use and would want to keep server requirements low, ie. we do not want to rely on uninterrupted network capability nor extensive processing resources.

The demand for low resources made us choose golang for implementation language, and I still believe that this was a good choice.
About push notifications, I think that the demand for handling intermittent net connections and server presence makes pull notifications a better choice for us.
At the same time, compatibility with an existing communications platform would be an obvious plus.

Clearly, all of this would take us a lot of time to actually implement.
There is a risk that, in the time it takes us to figure out how we want to put things together and actually implement things to a functional degree, Zot will have moved on to new heights and perhaps HubZilla along with it, rendering our desktop-centric application incompatible with HubZilla.
My guess is that the push/pull preference wouldn't be the only divergence, but at the same time it seems like something that would not be impossible to surmount.
